Pathology collection is available onsite at Botanic Ridge Doctors. We offer a wide range of tests including full blood count, iron studies, lipids, thyroid, HbA1c, STI screening, and more.
Our onsite pathology service supports a wide range of diagnostic testing requested by your GP, helping streamline the process from consultation through to results.
Samples are collected by trained pathology professionals in a comfortable clinical environment and processed securely, with results sent directly back to your treating doctor for review and follow-up.
Walk in during collection hours — no appointment required. Bring your pathology request from your GP and your Medicare card.

Results: Test results are sent securely to your GP within 24–48 hours. A follow-up appointment is required to discuss your results — your GP will contact you if anything urgent comes up.

Your GP provides a pathology request form. You can have collection at our onsite ACL desk or any pathology centre.
ACL accepts walk-ins during operating hours. Some tests (glucose tolerance, fasting tests, complex tests) require booking.
Most blood tests take less than 5 minutes. Urine, stool, swab and other sample types are collected as needed.
Results are sent securely to your GP within 1–3 business days. Urgent tests are flagged and reviewed promptly.

Most pathology tests are bulk billed by Australian Clinical Labs when requested by your GP. Some specialty tests (vitamin levels outside Medicare criteria, food intolerance panels, complex genetic testing) may attract a private fee. The Medicare Benefits Schedule changes occasionally; your GP will inform you if a test you've requested isn't covered.
