08 Questions, answered

Common questions.

How long does an assessment take?
Allow 30–45 minutes for the initial consultation. Investigations may extend across additional visits.
What's the difference between this and a 'check-up'?
Preventive health assessments are structured Medicare-funded reviews for specific age groups. A general check-up is a longer GP consultation that can be done at any time.
Do I need to fast?
Not for the consultation itself. Some pathology (cholesterol, glucose) requires fasting — your GP will let you know if needed.
Can I include a skin check?
A skin check is best booked as a separate longer appointment so your GP has dedicated time for full-body examination.
